Set up FolderyMenu Go on iPhone or iPad, create focused file lists, connect cloud storage, sync supported FolderyMenu items from your Mac, and manage access.

Getting started

  1. Choose an iCloud Drive location.
For the broadest access, choose the top-level iCloud Drive folder from the Files picker. Quick Tip: Tap the Browse button at the bottom a few times to bring you to the Files Root, then click iCloud Drive.
  2. Connect other storage if needed.
Sign in to OneDrive or Dropbox from Settings. Google Drive support depends upon FolderyMenu for Mac. Due to Google Drive API limitations, FolderyMenu for Mac users can curate Google Drive lists. Paid users can auto-sync these to FolderyMenu Go.
  3. Create or sync your first list.
Create a standalone list from a folder or enable Mac Sync for supported FolderyMenu items. FolderyMenu Go works great as a standalone app or in sync with your Foldery Menu Mac lists. You can maintain both synced and local lists in Foldery Menu Go.
  4. Pin the files and folders you use repeatedly.
Pins and curated lists provide a focused starting point without moving or reorganizing the originals.
Your files stay where they are. Creating lists, filtering results, and pinning items do not move the originals.

Lists, filters, and file actions

Create a curated list

Browse to a folder and choose Set Folder. Add filters for file type, extension, size, name, or date, and choose whether to include subfolders.

Search and sort results

Search within a list, switch between List and Gallery, change thumbnail or text size, and sort results in either direction.

See a list's full location

Tap the list name in the header to show its full name, storage provider, and folder path. Tap the header again or tap outside the popover to close it.

Pin important items

Pin frequently used files and folders so they remain easy to reach from the main screen.

Preview, share, and open

Supported iCloud Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox files can be previewed, shared, or opened in another app. Use Show in Files for native file-management actions.

Storage services

iCloud Drive

Choose the top-level iCloud Drive folder when possible. This helps FolderyMenu Go resolve synced paths and browse accessible files.

OneDrive

Sign in with Microsoft to browse OneDrive and create lists. The OneDrive app is not required; previews and sharing may download a temporary copy.

Dropbox

Sign in to browse Dropbox, create filtered lists, and pin files or folders. The Dropbox app is not required.

Google Drive

When "Include Google Drive Items from Mac" is enabled, file-list snapshots arrive from FolderyMenu for Mac. These are read-only in FolderyMenu Go, but can be opened in Google Drive.

Sync with FolderyMenu for Mac

Sign in to the same iCloud account on both devices and enable Sync in FolderyMenu for Mac so it can create the first CloudKit record. Then enable Mac Sync in FolderyMenu Go.

What syncs

Supported Mac-owned lists, compatible pins, settings, and approved Google Drive snapshots can be made available in FolderyMenu Go.

What stays local

Lists created directly in FolderyMenu Go remain local during sync. Duplicate a synced list when you want an independently editable mobile copy.

Mac-only local folders

FolderyMenu Go cannot access folders stored only on your Mac. Because imported lists are resolved through the iCloud Drive location selected in FolderyMenu Go, a Mac-local list may appear mapped to a similarly named iCloud Drive path. This does not move or upload the original folder, and the list will work only if the corresponding folder exists in iCloud Drive. Move the source folder into iCloud Drive on the Mac, or recreate the list from an accessible cloud folder.

Mac Sync status: use the sync icon beside Settings to review status, enable or disable sync, and request an update.

Free trial, subscriptions, and lifetime access

Seven-day free trial

FolderyMenu Go includes one seven-day trial in the App Store release. A qualifying purchase overrides the trial but does not restart or extend it.

Included with FolderyMenu

A FolderyMenu lifetime purchase or active paid subscription unlocks FolderyMenu Go when both apps use the same Apple Account. Installing the Mac app alone does not unlock access.

FolderyMenu Go Lifetime

The standalone lifetime option is a one-time, non-consumable purchase made directly in FolderyMenu Go. It does not require FolderyMenu for Mac.

Current term ends

The subscription expiration comes directly from the App Store. A live yearly subscription normally ends or renews approximately one year after purchase or renewal.

Purchase not recognized? Open Access & Purchases and choose Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase.

Troubleshooting

A purchase is missing

Confirm the same Apple Account is active, choose Restore Purchases, and allow StoreKit a moment to refresh.

A synced list is missing

Verify Mac Sync is enabled on both apps, confirm both devices use the same iCloud account, run Sync Now on the Mac, and refresh FolderyMenu Go.

A cloud file will not open

Check the provider sign-in, network connection, and file availability. Reauthenticate the storage provider from Settings if authorization has expired.

Need to manage the original file?

For iCloud Drive, choose Show in Files and use the Files app to rename, move, or delete it. FolderyMenu Go does not silently alter the original.
